Located on the main stream of Hutuo River in Pingshan County, Hebei Province, Gangnan Reservoir was started construction in 1958. It is an important large (1) type water control project in the middle and lower reaches of Hutuo River in Ziya River system of Haihe River Basin. It is 60 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital. It is the largest reservoir under the jurisdiction of the province, with a total storage capacity of 1.571 billion cubic meters. Since the construction of the reservoir, the reservoir has held back major floods for five times, and the flood control benefit has reached more than 10 billion yuan. In more than 40 years of operation, the reservoir has some problems, such as low flood control standards, aging of some projects and management facilities, which are incompatible with the important geographical location and important tasks of the reservoir. Therefore, it is imperative to implement the danger removal and reinforcement project of Gangnan Reservoir as soon as possible, so that the flood control standards of Gangnan Reservoir and Huangbizhuang reservoir can meet the ministerial standards at the same time, eliminate the hidden dangers that affect the normal operation of the project, and give full play to its flood control map wrapping frame guard board and water equivalent benefitsthe main contents of this danger removal and reinforcement project: heightening and reinforcement of the main dam and auxiliary dam, reinforcement of the normal spillway, reconstruction of the extraordinary spillway into the auxiliary dam, reinforcement of the new spillway, reinforcement of the spillway tunnel, reinforcement of the water conveyance tunnel, supplement and improve the engineering observation and management equipment, as well as the renewal and transformation of the electrical system and metal structure. The earth rock excavation of the main project is 320000 cubic meters, the earth rock filling is 960000 cubic meters, the concrete pouring is 14500 cubic meters, the reinforcement fabrication and installation is 439 tons, the drilling footage of curtain grouting is 1970 meters, the masonry of block stones is 160000 cubic meters, and the installation of metal structures is 815.
